Boulder Bits,
Bytes & Bots Newsletter
April 2007
Check out the new look of our website at bitsbytesbots.com!
Our website has received an update because
of the company's rapid growth! We have added new franchises
in Austin, Atlanta, and Hong Kong already this year
and are expecting to add several more over the next
few months! We are very excited that kids in many new
areas are gaining access to the highest quality technology
education! We apologize if you have been affected by
our growing pains over the last few months and hope
that you will find the new website more intuitive and
easier to use. Check back often as we will be posting
updated news, archived newsletters, and students' work
frequently. To quickly get to the Boulder page when
you access the website, simply click on the 'Locations'
tab on the top left of the site and then select 'Boulder'
from the locations page.
BBB will be on Channel 9 News on Saturday morning!
We’ll be promoting our Rockies Robot Fair
and Competition this Saturday morning on Channel 9 News.
We’re looking for students age 7-13 to help us demonstrate
robot sumo battles on TV! They must be at at 5:30 am.
If you have children or know children that would be
interested in helping us out, please give us a call!
We know this is early for young children as well as
parents, so we’ll happily give a significant discount
off the next class your child takes with us if you are
able to attend.
The Rockies Robot Fair and Competition is this
SATURDAY!

Website of the month:
http://www.hightechscience.org/funfacts.htm
Dazzle your kids with useless science knowledge this
month on High Tech Science’s Fun Facts page. Our favorite
fact we found is that “The Skylab astronauts grew 1.5
- 2.25 inches (3.8 - 5.7 centimeters) due to spinal
lengthening and straightening as a result of zero gravity.”
What have we learned? If you wish you were taller, become
an astronaut!
Seasonal News
Did you know that April is National Mathematics Awareness
month? What better way to celebrate than to sit down
with your kids and teach them to do math using Excel
on your computer? For kids grades 3-5, the Franklin
Institute Science Museum has a website that talks about
all sorts of neat things to do with Excel. Check it
out at http://www.fi.edu/fellows/fellow4/may99/spreadsheet.html.
