The Kid Institute of Technology LLC was founded by Rick Lyons to bring the Bits Bytes & Bots program to the Portland metro area.  Starting with classes on the east side and expanding west as the company develops. 

 

Rick Lyons has been an engineer working in automated systems for more than 18 years.  Developing systems anywhere from putting cookies into their bags, moving huge rolls of film around in the dark, building wire harness systems for aircraft or developing machines to process silicon wafers for computer chip manufacturing. In addition to engineering Rick is  also a passionate teacher.  Besides training clients on the automation systems he has been developing, Rick is a highly accomplished instructor of skiing, teaching kids and adults for 24 years.

 

While looking into business ownership options Rick discovered Bits, Bytes and Bots.  After many conversations with Tom Marx and other franchise owners it became obvious that this was an opportunity that could not be missed.
